The United States Army created a make-believe enemy for training purposes. They wore cotton summer khaki uniforms dyed green and made up ranks as shown with major's gold oakleaves, crossed cavalry swords, etc. An M-1 helmet liner with a shaped piece wood attached to the top to change its appearance. Years later Aggessor Forces wore Soviet style collar and epaulet insignia.
