Lisa has a Bachelor’s degree in social work from Bemidji State University, a Master of Divinity degree from United Theological Seminary in 1996 and was Ordained a minister in the United Church of Christ in 1996. Rev. Lisa has served two churches in Alma and Cochrane WI for the past 11 years and served a town and a country church in Minnesota Lake as their first shared Pastor. Lisa has worked in Scotland for 2 years and is an author of a published book www.lisabodenheim.com she has written articles and presented her experiences about: living and working in Iona Abbey, a church mission trip to New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and the 10 day Pastoral Journey to San Cristobal in Chiapas, Mexico. Lisa Served a multiracial church in South St Paul. Lisa’s topic will be her work most recently severed at Clark-Grace United Church of Christ with an African American clergy man in South St Paul. She will speak about being an author and her book Disturbing Complacency: Preparing for Christmas, a book of daily devotions. Each day is composed of a Scripture reading, a contemporary reading, and a brief reflection. Lisa will also speak of living on an island in Scotland when she worked for the Iona Community as the Abbey Program Worker, which hosted international and ecumenical guests each week.
