So, uh… we’re back? After an extremely impromptu, year-long break- which was filled with a multitude of inconvenient life dookie we won’t bore you all with- we decided it’s the right time to dive back into SCC. HOW WE’VE MISSED YOU ALL. We’ve got a few episodes banked, one of which we will share with you today! Our good friend Fallon joined us for this episode - exactly a year ago today - and it’s been waiting to see the light of day ever since. We watched the sad,misguided,...

WELCOME TA EARF! We were joined this week by our good friend (and local comic), Rob Pierce! He graced us- not only with his presence- but with a truly enjoyable second-class gem: Welcome to Planet Earth. Our story begins with Joseph! Having just inherited his deceased mother’s boarding house in a dangerous urban neighborhood, he’s short on cash and desperate to find some tenants as soon as possible. Lucky for him, that very evening Charlie, Rhonda and their daughter Daphne show up on his...

Hot damn y'all, it's our 100th Episode! Thanks to all of you who have somehow stumbled upon us and continue to listen to our ridiculous banter. We’re so happy other people love these misfit films and want to celebrate them the same way we do- in a mockingly critical and often obnoxious manner. Especially when we’ve dropped off the earth for a while due to life, and you all still hit us up with new film recommendations and discussions on older episodes. We know we've been gone for a while,...

DON'T TELL GRANDMA SHE'S A REINDEER! Or something like that. It's Christmas time in the city and we watched Tom's pick this week, the 2000 animated special Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer. History repeated itself with how we got to this movie and we're pretty glad it did I think.

A CLOWNHOUSE?! Yes it's the 1989 horror movie Clownhouse and WE watched it! It's of no surprise that this movie was chosen by Brittany as we are all aware for her prediliction towards 1989. Attempting to put aside the backstory to this movie whilst having it remain a fact throughout the viewieing experience was a bit tough but I think we managed it pretty well. Was this movie worth the watch?

After a month long (and unplanned) break, we are finally back! This episode was recorded with the intention of getting it into October but here we are on Thanksgiving day instead. OH WELL! Erik picked the Japanese cyber-punk, horror movie Tetsuo: The Iron Man. Good pal Jimmy came on to help us discuss this very eccentric, low-budget shocker.

Happy October! Tom picked the flick this week, and he thought the premise of a women’s baseball team lost in the woods with deranged killers sounded like a real home run (I’m sorry)… Our friend Aaron stopped by the studio to help us dissect this bloody baseball debacle. When a group of drunken rednecks lose a baseball game to a traveling team of buxom babes, they are incensed, but get over it rather quickly. That is all short-lived however, when one of their own, Mino, tries to stiff the...

IT'S OUR 100th POST!! Don't worry we'll have something better for our official 100th episode. It's Brittany's pick this week and keeping in the horror fashion she chose to watch the 1980 horror/thriller Don't Go In The House. Or The Burning. But not The (GOOD) Burning. Tyler joined us for this one and it was certainly a change of pace for movies we typically watch with him. We were as disappointed as he was that Hulk Hogan wasn't in this.

Welcome back! This week we were joined by a first-time guest- our friend and professional funny-lady,  Liz Moniz. We even let her pick the flick! Liz had told us about this really strange movie she had watched with her Dad when she was a kid, a movie about a possessed refrigerator that eats people… So naturally we wanted to watch this ASAP. It took two years, but we done did it! This movie follows a couple, Eileen and Steve, who have just relocated to NYC from Ohio, presumably in pursuit of...

This week's was Erik's pick and he went back to basics. We watched the 1986 karate movie No Retreat No Surrender. Holy mackerel. Erik has been pretty adamant about JCVD as of late so he was very excited to get to this and now we're ALL excited. We've also cross-references some lists and wouldn't you have it Bad Movie Sunday (@BadMovieSunday1) also watched this one! Enjoy!

It was Tom's pick this week and guess what happened? He picked a movie he got at a flea market! That movie happened to be the 1989 action movie One Man Force. Special guest Jimmy comes on to discuss this movie and also helps us rank restaurant chains. Do not be fooled by the beginning of the episode, we did not watch Holy Mountain. Thank god we didn't.

On this week's episode we watch a movie submitted to us by a friend of the show and fellow podcaster Dave Bullis (@Dave_Bullis)! He stumbled across the 1988 horror-ish, thrill ride that is Uninvited and let us know that we should probably watch it. We're kind of glad we did. Well, some of us were happier than others. I guess you'll just have to listen to hear what we think about a movie with a MUTANT DEMON CAT!!!

It was Brittany's pick and she did us all a favor and broke our spell of watching movies that are of sub-par quality (even though her last pick was the Chuck Norris movies Forest Warrior)! Yay?  Either way, she picked the 2014 thriller/action movie The Guest! We had our OWN very special guest on the show, Fallon! She was actually the one who had recommended this movie to us to watch so Brittany only felt it appropriate to have her watch it with us. Fortunately for us our guest was not as...

We're back at watching movies again and boy are our arms tired. It was Erik's pick this week so he decided that we watched the 3rd installment in the unofficial ninja series by Canon, Ninja 3: The Domination. It's great to be getting back in to watching movies for a while and we took it in with our friend Victor. He claims this is the first b-movies he's ever truly watched. It's always fun to show someone a b-movie when they aren't super familiar with them. Their reactions are a lot more honest.

Ahoy, Citizens! Unfortunately, we did not watch a film this week here at SCC, but we did do something that we should've done a long time ago… If you've been a listener for any length of time, you probably know that we always ask every one of our first-time guests the same question: “What is your relationship with B movies?” We've asked dozens of people this question over the past two(ish) years, trying to learn about what ignites and ultimately drives the passion for this type of cinema....

Aaaand we’re back. Flippin’ finally! As some of you know, it’s been a rough month here at SCC… but after all the roadtrips, mountain-climbing, and hospital stays (not in that order), we are back and ready for action. We missed bad movies, and we missed every gosh damn one of you! Tom picked the movie this week, and we watched the 1990 action flick, Killing American Style- directed by the one and only Amir Shervan. On this week's episode, our pal Gray came on and watched the early 90's dark comedy Meet the Applegates! Last time Gray was on we had a discussion about a movie that traumatized us as children. It was Tom's pick this week and he is back to his old ways. Plucked directly from the vast DVD library of garbage popped out our pick, the 1999 made for TV action movie Shadow Warriors 2 starring Hulk Hogan and Carl Weathers. This was actually quite the confusing journey, since the DVD in question was actually promoted as Shadow Warriors, so the entire time we were watching the wrong movie. Our confusion definitely comes pouring out once we actually realized what happened to us....

Hellooooo Citizens! We're officially off that hellish ride through space, and onto bigger and better things. It was Brittany's turn to pick the flick this week, and feeling as though we deserved to treat ourselves, she selected 2014’s Housebound- a thriller/comedy straight out of New Zealand. We're settling into Space Month nicely here at Second Class Cinema. For the entire month of April we’ll be exploring different film series’ that (bafflingly) decided to take their franchise into outer space. We kicked it off last week with Leprechaun 4: In Space- which, despite it’s fantastically boring title, we somehow expected to be better. A few months ago, when we watched our first James Bond movie (Never Say Never Again) our good friend, Tyler, joined us. We kick it off with Brittany's pick, Leprechaun 4: In Space!  The rules of In Space Month are easy, we have to pick a movie that takes it franchise in to outer space. We were surprised to find out how little this actually happened but it happened enough for us to notice, so that's a problem. Special Guest Taryn came on to discuss this movie with us. Listen up!...

It was Tom's pick this week and he used a bit of outside influence for his selection. The movie is 1991's martial art, action, comedy Breathing Fire. We were lucky enough to interview Matt Jaissle about his work and you can find that episode here. Tom purchased this movie and waited for the right time to watch it and I think we...

October is just about over, Halloween is approaching and soon we will have nothing to do but transition into Christmas movies. We say goodbye to Horror Movie Month in a strange fashion with Erik's pick this week. Sega CD seems to come up a lot on this show as a reference of quality so Erik decided to choose the 1992 Sega CD release Night Trap. We know this is not a MOVIE but we viewed it as if it were one anyway. There are a lot of different versions of this on YouTube and you can see the one...

Keeping on with Horror Movie Month, we watched something a little more traditional in style, kind of.  Tom picked the 1987 sci-fi/horror movie The Kindred! This was an interesting watch for us because we really had no clue what we were getting in to.  Brandon came on to help us discuss this movie, and this is one of his personal favorites.  He even brought an old Fangoria magazine that had an article about this movie. Where do you think this movie will measure on the F**k...

We continue watching horror movies with Brittany's pick this month, the comedy/horror movie My Boyfriend's Back!  We realize that for horror movie month we have been picking things that are horror second and something else first, but hey that's still ok, right?  OH WELL!  Special guest Tee comes on and helps us talk about this movie and we discuss whether or not this movie's original rating was warranted in contrast to some other movies from the same time period. We have some cool info about...

We take in our 50th episode with Erik's pick for our horror movie adventure this month with the Japanese horror/comedy Wild Zero!  Yes.  We did in fact play along with the drinking game portion of this movie.  Our friend Jimmy comes on to help us drink, discuss and debate.secondclasscinema.com@2ndClassPodcast

OCTOBER IS HERE!!!  That means horror movies and so this is Horror Movie Month... OBVIOUSLY!  Tom picked the 2012 Irish slasher/clown movie Stitches to kick it off. We all pretty much went in to one side on this rating.  What side do you think our ratings fell on?  Listen up as Tyler comes on and helps us discuss this insane clown picture.

On this week's episode, we did something we've never done before.... We covered THREE movies.  That's right.  That means we sat through 3 movies in a row and then recorded this VERY long episode after.  It was grueling. Aaron's back in town to discuss all three of Neil Breen's movies; Double Down (2005), I Am Here.... Now (2009) and Fateful Findings (2013).  Listen up to find out  how they all measured up during our ratings!  This episode is a healthy 1 hour 45 minutes, so god bless you...

This week Brittany decided it's time to watch something new again and she picked the 2014 slasher Lost After Dark.  Although this movie was new, it is stylized as being an 80s slasher, which totally works for us! Or did it work for us?  Find out how this movie measures up on our newest episode! Also don't forget to check out our NEW website SecondClassCinema.com

On this week's podcast we discuss Erik's pick, the 1988 Godfrey Ho monster movie Thunder of Giant Serpent!  This is Erik's second time picking a Godfrey Ho movie, the first being RoboVampire.  We had our friend and fellow b-movie lover Fallon on to help get in to grave detail the deeper meanings of girls mounting snakes.  It get's real analytical-like here on the Second Class Cinema this week so listen up and find out how it may have impacted our ratings!Make sure to check out our NEW...

God Bless Tiny Tim!  Seriously, because if it weren't for him this movie would have been more unbearable than it already was. That movie was the 1987 horror movie "Blood Harvest".  This was Tom's pick because it missed getting watched "too many times".  Yikes.  Mr. Tim is a creepy clown in a small town where people are being hung upside down and... killed!  Sounds promising right? Find out how we all rate this movie on this week's discussion!

On this week's Second Class Cinema we finally got around to not only recording an episode, but watching a movie submitted to us!  We watched 2005 horror/vampire movie Blade of the Vampire! Someone actually bought Blade of the Vampire for us to watch. Hard earned dollars. For us to watch this. Thanks for allowing us to watch this Scott! THANKS! We had an interesting time rating this one that's for sure. Check us out the NEW secondclasscinema.com

On this episode we watch something new for once!  Brittany selected the 2015 slasher movie Girl House.  We know what these types of movies can be capable of- for better OR worse- so either way we would've had something to talk about.  What do you think we'd rate a movie like this and what would you rate it yourself?  Let us know! @2ndClassPodcast on Twitter!

We watched Erik's pick this week and that was the 1988 movie Robowar!  Predator meets RoboCop when a bunch of guys just wander around the jungle unloading their automatic weapons on things they think they see.  Erik has a predilection towards "Robo" movies and I think we finally get it now. Listen up as this episode gets -GREASY-.

On this week's episode we watch Tom's pick, the 1987 action movie Hollywood Cop.  This movie was directed by Amir Shervan, the same person that made Samurai Cop! You can expect a similar level of grime and crime in this awkwardly raunchy spectacle.  This movie came out 4 years prior to Samurai Cop so we draw the parallels between the two and see how Amir Shervan differed from one movie to the other... If at all. IT'S NOT AWESOME!

It's Brittany's pick and she picked the 1979 horror movie The Brood, directed by David Cronenberg.  Not quite sure we were expecting a very deep film today but hey what else can we expect from David Cronenberg? We certainly experienced some ups and downs with this AND we all gave it the same rating, find out how it measured up on the F**k Scale!

On this episode we discuss Erik's pick, 1989's action movie Laser Mission.  With Brandon Lee leading this one, it was difficult to dislike. We have some mixed reviews but also a lot of favorite parts.  Enjoy this pretty short episode!

YES ANOTHER BONUS EPISODE! A day early as well! In this episode we "very quickly discussed" the 1985 French horror movie Devil Story. We went out in PUBLIC to watch this one though, that's right, The Arkham Film Society put on this show for us in Providence. Since we didn't have notes to take, nor did we have the immediate discussion on our side, we reduced this episode to a reaction to some of the major moments as well as rating it. This is the second AFS movie we've done on the...

It was Tom's pick this week and he chose the 2001 movie The Rats.  This movie had rats, rats, a guy that looked like a rat, more rats, and climaxes with a geyser of rats in a rec-center pool. THAT'S IT AND GOODNIGHT!

In this week's episode Brittany selected the 2014 horror movie Leprechaun: Origins!  We find it hard to believe it's ACTUALLY a Leprechaun movie but hey, if he can go to space, he can be... this?  Maybe, maybe not.  We're certainly glad Kid's Movie Months is over because the "Fudge" rating just wouldn't have been enough.

It's the LAST day of Kid's Movie Month! YAAAAAY!!!  We felt like wrapping the month up with something a little strange, and that was the 1988, sci-fi/thriller Nukie! Ok maybe it wasn't a "thriller" but Nukie IS terrifying. Jimmy came on to talk about this one with us to help figure out who Nukie is, why he's here, and why he just won't die. We go over whether or not this movie would be watchable for children today as well as a long detailed list of what we think Nukie is ACTUALLY...

It's still Kid's Movie Month and we had ourselves a DOUBLE FEEEEATURE!  It was ninja night here on Second Class Cinema as we watched both 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain and Surf Ninjas! Erik picked Surf Ninjas while we decided to pad out the ninja night with 3 Ninjas HNAMM as it's been requested by multiple people.  Tyler decided to come on by (who is ultimately getting the blame for 3 Ninjas) to help us to discuss these movies.  Which one of these is ultimately the best ninjas movie...

I know it's Kid's Movie Month and all here on Second Class Cinema but this opportunity was too good to pass up. We had Matt Jaissle, the director of Back From Hell, reach out to us wanting to talk about his movie!  He had listened to our review of Back From Hell which was also our first episode (if you'd like to listen to it, enter at your own risk because it's a bit rough around the edges).  Anyway, we had him give us a call and we chatted about his movie and his upcoming screening at The...
