Subject: a l'il mellow, but nice setlist
For a 1-set deal, it's pretty good. I liked that Holiday opener and it's been a while since I've heard Straight 8, so that was cool.
On the whole, the set seemed a tad layed back. I'm not sure if that's because of the mellow west coast atmosphere or that sick north-west chronic, but it definitely lacked some of the intense east coast ENERGY that I've grown accustomed to.
The huge Doubled Up in a Knot>Love is a Tangle>Mountain Jam>Lonesome Whistle>Chevy '39 is the exception to my previous statement. That jam was off the proverbial hook.
The mix on this show sounds a bit odd, as well. It seems like a SBD with a large amount of AUD patched in for some reason. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE a well recorded audience recording, but this had a little too much crowd that took away from the overall mix IMO.
Nice job on the bike horn during Red Dress if that was indeed you and not Zeke... ;^)
