Royal Commissions of Ontario


Royal Commissions of Ontario are public, independent Inquiries appointed under the Public Inquiries Act of Ontario. A Royal Commission is established through an order of the href="http://www.lt.gov.on.ca/">Lieutenant Governor of Ontario in co-operation with the Premier of Ontario and the Provincial Cabinet. A Commissioner is appointed to oversee the inquiry into facts or matters of public interest and to publicly present recommendations on these matters.
