Actually had tips I hadn't heard of
Most of these "household hints and money savers" books are full of the same old junk you already know about- this one has them too, such as how to save money at the grocery store, and so on. But, it does have tips and methods of fix-its and hints I hadn't known- such as filling a bucket with sand and vegetable oil to clean tools with. Or, if your indoor water line breaks, remove your backflow preventer on your outdoor water hose spigot, connect a garden hose to it and the other end (with female connector) to your (willing) neighbors' turn both water hoses ON, and you've got indoor water again. I didn't know about this trick. Soaking paintbrushes before you paint. Add a few drops vegetable oil to your car wash bucket and it helps carry dirt away.
Instead of lighter fluid for the charcoal briquettes, use salad oil/vegetable oil, not as good as lighter fluid but will work in a pinch.
Well there are a lot other tips but you'll have to read it for yourself & I'd say this is one tips and tricks book that's actually worth reading. I was fairly surprised.
