Speed run of Super Mario Bros. done on April 10 2007. Available in five versions: low/normal quality DivX, and normal/high/low quality H.264 MPEG-4. Author's comments: I believe that this may be a perfect time by Speeddemosarchive 's timing of Super Mario Bros. 1. First off, I'd like to thank my brother for helping me figure out a faster way of beating the game. If it weren't for him, a run like this probably wouldn't have been seen for a long while. I also want to thank those who encouraged me...

Speed run of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in 37 segments, completed on May 13 2005. Available in low and normal quality. Author's comments: Credits first - I referred quite a lot to Tirdun's walkthough from gamefaqs, and also used the Java San Andreas Map a lot to locate weapons/armour. Notes/Missions in each part: Part 1 (Big Smoke, Sweet & Kendl, Ryder, Tagging Up Turf, Cleaning The Hood, Drive-Thru, Nines and AKs, Drive-By, Sweet's Girl) - This could definitely be improved on. Speed run of Super Paper Mario in 45 segments, completed on July 14 2007. Available in six versions: low/normal quality DivX, and normal/high/insane/low quality H.264 MPEG-4. Author's comments: First of all, thanks to: * Radix, for hosting the run. * nate, for encoding the run. * Amazing Ampharos, who provided insightful advice and helped me turn my original sloppy first few segments into something worthy of a real speedrun. * Mr_Potter, Satoryu, tkrausse, and forte_x, who also pointed out...

Speed run of Super Mario Bros. done on October 9 2004. Available in normal and high quality. Author's comments: This is the cleanest, best looking SMB run I've done, although some levels can be finished slightly faster with better tactics so I estimate that I could do better by five to seven tenths overall. Easily the best part is in 8-3 with the Hammer Bros (I was very surprised I didn't die). Enjoy :)

Speed run of Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, done in 58 segments across 10 files plus ending, completed on March 13 2006. Available in four qualities: low/normal/high/insane quality DivX. Author's comments: Well, this is my first speed run, and one of a game I've always wanted to try it on. Speed run of Rena's scenario on Star Ocean: The Second Story in 87 segments, completed on May 17 2007. Available in five versions: low/normal quality DivX, and normal/high/low quality H.264 MPEG-4. Author's comments: I entered into this game expecting around 10 hours to speedrun. A lot more battles were also expected, which is why such heavy preparation was put into the first disc. Individual levels runs of Max Payne on New York Minute mode. It is difficult to get the time of a NYM run even though the game is keeping track, because of the way it does. The listed time comes by subtracting the total times are the start of one level and the next. It can also be found by subtracing the end time from 1 minute and adding all the time the game adds for each kill (8 seconds). Older times are also available. Level #/name Time Date Player 1-P The American Dream Prologue 0:14...

Speed run of Final Fantasy 1 (PS1) in ~4:55. Author's comments: Hello. This is my ~4:55 video playthrough of Final Fantasy 1 on the PS1. The version played is the Japanese version, mainly because it is the one I am used to (control-wise) and that this version does not have that "dancing cursor" problem (where the cursor seems to move on its own while the player is choosing an option, resulting in going to an undesired command) that the US version has in the game. Speed run of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time in 28 segments completed on June 7 2005. Available in three versions: low quality, normal quality, and 60fps high quality. Speed run of Castlevania: Curse of Darkness in 20 segments completed on March 2 2006. Available in four versions: low quality, normal quality, and 60fps high/insane quality. Author's comments: This run was actually delayed by a couple months due to general boredom of the game. I had made it to the 2nd Isaac fight before I back-burnered it. The fastest method of travel is to use Quick Steps - but only after I have Double Step. There's too long of a pause after doing a Quick Step without Double...

Individual level speed runs of Blast Corp, with each level achieving a platinum rank. One run uses the "z-trick" which involves attempting to get out of a vehical by a building - after a few failures, the building simply blows up! This only works on the NTSC version. Speed run of Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks in 12 segments completed on October 26 2005. Available in 4 versions: low quality, normal quality, and 60fps high/insane quality. Author's comments: Okay, first off, I'd like to thank the following people: Mkt2015: For mentioning this game as a potential speedrun. Also for advice, particularly about move purchases. bsidwell: For general advice on the game. KillerMiller: Big piece of advice for dealing with the Orochi Hellbeast in segment 6, as well as...

Speed run of Chrono Trigger in 34 segments completed on October 26 2005. Timing note: uses game timer at last seen moment in final part plus remaining real time until final damage on Lavos. Author's comments: This is by far my most polished run -- over a month in the making and numerous test runs and multiple strategies attempted, resulting in a final run that dips below the five hour mark. What will impress most people, I predict, will be the boss fights. Most of the bosses I take on are at...
