When it comes to refuting anything outside their comfort zone, or that of their research funding sponsors, members of tenured academia will forget all about their own research histories and immediately cast out such burdens of proof like the Scientific Method. The well-funded academic will immediately jump to ridicule to belittle anyone not towing the university line or singing the correct corporate jingle.

While Carl Sagan was surely a brilliant scientist, he wasn't one to rub his sponsors the wrong way and he can be seen telling outright lies on TV and/or failing to submit knowledge he had to the conversation whenever it doesn't contribute to the process of hoarding historical truths, that deception which is partly related to the construction of the Great Pyramid at Giza in this fantasy farce.

One example from this video is the subject of obtaining, preparing and mounting each stone block of the Great Pyramid at Giza. If you were still awake and paying attention during the discussion of quarrying blocks for the pyramids the narrator stuck by the old lies of using stone hammers and metal alloy chisels to cut the "sandstone which usually breaks in straight lines." This actually surprised me. Because even the recently replaced Minister of Antiquity in Egypt says the perfectly cut stone are a type of granite, not sandstone. I would add that granite is extremely dense material that is difficult if not impossible to hand cut and fit with laser precise flat surfaces without precision cutting instruments and measuring devices. The old chicken bones and dried goat leather hammers simply won't do here folks. Before I go to long here, think about it this way:

There was a claim in this video that a stone block can be cut each 15 minutes. Once you factor in the number of blocks used and the amount of years to build that one single pyramid constructing it breaks down to the precise cutting, transporting, and precise placement of one block every 26 seconds. Once the weight of the average stone block is considered the hand cut and fit claim falls apart even further.

The genuine fact of building the ancient pyramids is that nobody knows exactly how they were built. There are literally thousands of them throughout Africa and on every continent worldwide. Once you reconcile previously held (lies) beliefs with actual data it quickly becomes clear the truth lies somewhere far away from modern education systems and funded academics.

While many of Von Danikens theories are not 100% proof of ET interaction , this documentary and narration is full of half truths and lying by omission . Of course mainstrream science rejects this ! If they want to keep getting $$$$ and have a reputation to uphold , along with the status quo condescending atitude of "scholars " is palpable. Carl Sagan , while brilliant , makes a ridiculous metaphore somewhat like present astrophysistist Michio Kaku . " Mating with petunas or offering trinkets to ants " are a pathetic and cheap way out . And when calculating the height of the Great pyramid to get the formula for the distance to the Sun , they DIDN'T INCLUDE the CAPSTONE which is now GONE . When you include this missing data , it is EXACTLY CORRECT !!! It goes on and on with this weak " because we say so " BS throughout .
