In this discourse is expounded doctrine that was never official Church doctrine, regarding racial differences and how this would affect one's condition and destination in the next life. The Church does not teach, and has never taught this officially. We do not believe it, and it is, in view of what is happening in the Church today, patently untrue.
I have often thought how difficult it must be to be a Church leader--how carefully one would have to watch what one said, because there would be many members of the Church who believe every word which comes from the mouth of a prophet or apostle must be doctrine.
We believe that all races are equal in the sight of God, and that He will judge us all according to our merits, not according to our skin color or lineage. The scriptures clearly indicate this.
