neil gorsuch is on his way to the supreme court. that we know. it will be largely with republican support and not a lot of democratic support. that's what is expected before this nuclear option. what is remarkable, the number of democrats in states that donald trump won comfortably were still embolden to take this route. in other words, embolden not to vote for the guy. and john thune on what he makes of that. it's extreme on both sides and it will be that way now. what do you make of some on the other side, senator, that feel well within their comfort zone to do this? >> there are four democrats, neil that will vote for gorsuch. a lot more should and are not. they're worried about getting primaried on the left. the word was out, the left leaning outside groups, if you don't filibuster gorsuch, we're going to get a primary. so there was a good amount of that going on out there. some of the democrats too, who held the line and voted with schumer on this and people that are close to senator schumer. a lot of factors that go into a decision like thi
