but it seems as if these ferry passengers are so far faring fairly good. okay, yes, the truth is these lines are much longer than usual. yes, they have added more time to their commute. but they seem to be in good demeanor when they arrive and right now there's still parking available at the alameda main street ferry terminal. now, some passengers say that the strike has already added two hours to their commute just this morning. some people got here at 5:00 this morning for a 6 a.m. ferry ride instead of taking bart just at 7:00 in the morning. this is a special schedule here out of this ferry terminal direct, direct transportation to the san francisco ferry building. this is in addition to the extra ferries that they have added throughout the system. they are trying to get people to san francisco and back to alameda as quickly as possible. the city is providing shuttle service from various satellite parking lots throughout the city, also various bus stops, ac transit bus stops, hoping to accommodate all those people who have decided that they would rathe
