and about 64 degrees in san francisco. all right, let's check out the wet roadways right now with elizabeth. >>> i think i need my windshield wipers at least once this morning and the roads are wet as well. we're back to seeing a far number of more accidents than we're actually used to seeing this time of the morning including this bad one they just mentioned it. it's the off ramp still is blocked for a police investigation. it's northbound 280 by saratoga avenue. a person was walking along that area on there that off ramp an city streets just off of the freeway. now the main lines of 280 still are open so this is not causing much of a delay through downtown at all or as you approach saratoga. still all the drive times remain at the speed limit. but again that off ramp is shut down until further notice. another overturned vehicle this one just popping up within the last ten minutes or so. eastbound 380 to 280 interchange, lanes may be blocked and we know chp is heading to the scene now. this is what it looks like outside.

officers arrested 50-year-old jeffrey ruano of san francisco. but so far, ruano hasn't been charged in the shooting of the officer. investigators say during the initial traffic stop in officer, shaw's partner fired at the car when the driver tried to run into the officers. >> as far as whether or not we will ever know definitively that the shot came from his partner, uhm, until we can recover the round that went through his arm and match it to the partner's gun, we don't know that. >> investigators say rue wan no had a .38-caliber cartridge in his pocket but found no gun on him or his car. he might have ditched the weapon during the chase. officer shaw is in good spirits while recovering from shoulder surgery. >>> investigators in asia are expanding the search now for a passenger plane that's been missing now for several days malaysia flight going from kuala lumpur to bay bridge. the original search area is the larger circle, the smaller circle is the new area the focus. more on the investigation now from cbs news' susan mcginnis. >> reporter: t

it's a busy artery here in san francisco. a traffic signal was knocked down on van ness just some of the damage done last night in this accident. a lot of questions about the chain of events. 7 people are taken to the hospital. this is video taken right after the accident happened around 12:30 a.m. when paramedics arrived to help the 7 injured. one of the vehicles crossed the center divide on van ness and hit the other one but police are still trying to figure out who was driving. >> the girl has blood on her face and she was panicked. a girl standing in front here, they just say, oh, they might stole the car so once they hit the car they just all the people who are in the car just ran away. >> reporter: the witness said several people ran from the scene of the accident. but they were all rounded up overnight and again a lot of them taken to the hospital. police are still working on their report right now. they're at the hospital talking to some of the people who were injured trying to figure this all out. live in san francis
