francisco, and now it is the newest part in the city of san francisco. through our partnership, and because of public investment from the two thousand eight fund, we are celebrating a renewal and an awakening of this park. we have it safer, happier, more joyous. >> 3, 2, 1, [laughter] =--[applause] >> it is a great resource for families, to have fun in the city, recreation. >> this is an amazing park. we have not revitalized it without public and private investment. the critical piece of the process of this renovation was that it was all about the community. we reached out to everyone in this community. we love this park dearly and they all had thoughts and ideas and they wanted to bring their own creativity and their personality to bear on the design. what you see is what the community wanted. these ideas all came from the residents of this community. as a result, there is a sense of ownership, pride and responsibility that goes along with what is going to be an exciting park. exciting park. exciting park. tick. tick. tick. tick. tick. tick. tick. tick.

san francisco travel. as joe mentioned, i kind of wear three hats but i'm standing in the middle of my world. union square improvement districts and tremendous work that they are doing down here, joe dell sandero with travel and of course due to mayor lee's efforts it's a time for tourism and general manager in this city. thank you. visitors information center. it was a freudian slip because it improved tremendously and it couldn't be in greater location. so all the visitors that come to san francisco from the airport stop right there and come here for information on things to do in the city. it's tremendous for me to be the general manager because i have concierge but the volunteers and the people here are an extension of concierge and giving information for all the visitors that come in and make this a world class city and really visit all the areas, the restaurants, the attractions and everything else this city has to offer. i want to thank again san francisco travel because they are the ones who market

in 1992, she went into partnership andopebed her first salon in san francisco. can you believe when i heard she opened up [inaudible] what was she, 5 years old. not only is she living her dream of running her own business [inaudible] about a year and a half agoy a 4 alarm fire shut down many of the businesses on ocean avenue including bridge lts. it was a difficult decision for any of the business owners to continue operation, but bridget was determined. she managed to continue serving while the [inaudible] were being rebuilt. bridgets resilience and positive attitude [inaudible] she found to keep [inaudible] and have a grand reopening late last year. bridget, your energy and spirit up lifts those around you. in fact, when i feel down, i drive by the shop and see her smile and feel
