the incident happened yesterday near south 33rd and east san fernando. >>> san jose firefighters are raising questions about response times after a fire station in east san jose was closed so it could be tested for mold. as azenith smith reports, this isn't the first time station 16 has come under scrutiny. >> reporter: inside san jose fire station 16 red tape can be seen in the kitchen area, it says do not enter. a danger because of mold. >> it's a constant fire the fire department has with mold in these older fire stations. >> reporter: a spokesperson says so far there's been no confirmation of mold in the station but the fire department moved firefighters as a precaution. earlier we saw some of those firefighters pick up their belongings. this isn't the first time concern other mold were brought up. >> about two years ago there were plumbing problems in the kitchen. they thought they had mold. >> reporter: he says lab tests showed more mold outside the building than inside and because it wasn't airborne it didn't pose a risk back then. repipeing was recommended but did not happen.
