you hit the exit ramps. we are seeing a big area of rain all across virginia, maryland, the district along the 95 closer to home, it's mostly light rain here now, but that band you see in the yellow, that's where it's coming down a little harder right around northeastern and eastern central part of fauquier county just now coming toward manassas is this brief heavy downpour. about 25 minutes away from central fairfax county and then the beltway maybe about another half an hour. that will be moving right through the metro area. that will be coming up here around 10:30 this morning. and temperatures are chilly. still in the low to mid-50s from the shenandoah valley all the way to the bay. and future weather into the afternoon hours, after this one wave, it moves off east of the bay by 3:00, maybe lingering sprinkles. and then some thundershowers come into the shenandoah valley, panhandle of west virginia around 8:00, 9:00 this evening. and then they move off to the east, this is a brand new model run showing heavier downpours, thunder and lightning 10:00 p.m., northern wester by 11:00
