I came across a song I would like to listen to (little boxes) but it is not easily doable because it is in mp3 only.

I looked up the bands that still have this policy and only see 8: https://archive.org/search.php?query=NoMP3

should we try to get them to allow people to listen in the browser?

Oval Opus, Pat McGee and Pat McGee Band all lifted the No mp3 limitation in April 2012, but the limitation was not changed in the permissions. I'll correct that.

At that time, Jason Mraz's management confirmed their no mp3 policy. But, we can reach out to them again to see if we can't get them turned around on this.

Brewster - Tyler on the LMA team has connections with the Mraz team, so he will reach out to them again this week to discuss.

Thank you for the quick reply! Yes, it was a Jason Mraz concert that I stumbled on.

Unfortunately Jason Mraz is working currently on his 5th and final album with Atlantic Records. Their 2013 position of 'no mp3s for now' will stand till he is done with his contract, so nothing will change for now.

Hopefully in a few years when the album and contract and touring is done, we'll revisit the topic! For now he remains the only artist not allowing mp3 streaming on archive.org's LMA.
