National Geographic Magazine always had great articles and in 1917 and in 1919 they did a Special Issue for Flags and and again for Army and Navy Insignia. In 1943 they came up with special issues on the Insignia, Medals and Decoration and in 1944 reprinted all of the articles in one and then reprinted a second special issue. One had a tan cover and the other a blue cover if I recall right?
