These are the only two remaining reels of 8mm film experiments by Joel Sanderson, the first from 1970 is an animated view of a drive down a mountain road in Montana, the second is from 1974 shot in his parents basement using unfinished watercolor paintings by his father, artist Charles H. Sanderson, as backgrounds.

This is a study of burial practices of tribes in New Ireland, Papua New Guinea from 1974 by Dorothy Billings. Originally shot on black and white reel-to-reel video, this transfer is from a VHS copy of the original version. The VHS edit was completed in 1980 by Ben Urish and Dorothy Billings. A 1974 8mm documentary by Gary Seaman on spiritual practices in Thailand where spirits of ghosts are drawn out into a ritual chair, then the bones of the person whose determined to be offended are dug up, the body restored in clay, and a shaman performs other rituals to appease the spirit. 8mm film transferred to video, possible narrated by the author. Originally from the University of Kansas film library collection.
