The DLA program to improve the acceptance of advanced technology in the domestic apparel industry resulted in the issuing of a contract to F.I.T. in 1987 to demonstrate this technology, investigate ways to economically justify its purchase, perform research and development to improve and apply it, and disseminate the resultant information. Running for six and one-half years the program targeted toward both the commercial and military segments of the garment manufacturing business. F.I.T....

Twelve rats were trained to learn the location of a spatially fixed platform hidden in a Morris maze. Accurate navigation was rewarded by escape from the water on to the platform. Asymptotic performance was achieved over six training days (10 trials/day). Then retention of the spatial task was assessed 30 minutes after treatment with 5, 25, 50, 75 or 100 mg/kg, ip, atropine sulfate or the equivalent volume of saline. There was a significant, dose-dependent, drug effect on escape latency, swim...

With the usual serial computer architecture point iterative schemes frequently led to the efficient solution of many of these systems. For large heading changes, the steady-state bank angle consistent with available or desired load factor is attained in an open-loop fashion; it is then regulated in a closed-loop fashion...
