this model unlike the other model has been sliced up into smaller chunks to print on a 220x200x200+ sized fdm print space. these are the minimum dimensions needed for the current size. there are 5 parts in total you may want to see if you can optimize printing more of them in one print yourself but of course i will leave this up to you to choose. the terrain piece is designed to take up roughly a 400mm circumference of space or around 15-16". as such will make an ideal model as a...

I designed a 2D layout to laser cut a building, haven't gotten around to going to FabLab to cut it so I decided to turn it into a printable model. It is designed so that the floors slide into walls and should keep them stable. The walls and floors have been weathered for a more grungy look. Will need scaling before printing, sorry about that. I haven't printed it myself, if you do. Please post a make :) Ps. The Space Marine is there just for scale

The Oddanchatram anorthosite is located in the Madurai District of Tamil Nadu, near the town of Palni. It is emplaced into a granulite facies terrain commonly presumed to have undergone its last regional metamorphism in the late Archean about 2600 m.y. The surrounding country rock consists of basic granulites, charnockites and metasedimentary rocks including quartzites, pelites and calc-silicates. The anorthosite is clearly intrusive into the country rock and contains many large inclusions of...

Fluid inclusion and petrologic characteristics of South India granulites and their bearing on the sources of metamorphic fluids are discussed. This paper served as a review and an introduction to the next paper by D. Jackson. Jackson presented carbon isotope data from gases extracted from fluid inclusions in South Indian granulites. The uniformly low Delta C-13 values (minus 10 plus or minus 2 per mil) and the greater abundance of CO2 in the incipient charnockites are suggestive of fluid influx...

This report determines how ground clutter strength varies with RF frequency from VHF to X-Band in ground sited radar. This determination is accomplished by providing extensive empirical results from multifrequency clutter measurements conducted at 42 different sites widely dispersed over the North American continent. These results indicate that the frequency dependence of ground clutter strength depends upon terrain type and can vary, for example, from a strongly decreasing function of...

Pilot performance parameters, such as pilot ratings, tracking errors, and pilot response characteristics, are determined for two longitudinal tracking tasks, using a large, flexible bomber in a turbulent environment. The two tasks, terrain following and air refueling, were accomplished on a limited, six-degrees-of-freedom motion simulator. The effect of structural motion on pilot performance and opinion and the correlation with pilot ratings are of concern for potential application in pilot...

The independent suspension on the Advanced Technology Demonstrator II (ATD- II) was tested to determine how it compares with the solid axle suspension on the current M923A1. It was found that: (1) the independent suspension weighs more than the solid axle suspension; (2) the ATD-II absorbed less power over test courses simulating real world terrain and (3) the ATD-II absorbed less power due to a shock caused by an abrupt obstacle in the terrain.

These are modular dungeon tiles for DnD or other miniature table top games. Tiles are 100x100mm with and are designed with holes for 5mm disk magnets. these printed great. the new design minimizes the filament usage and printing time. Also the new magnet slots are made to have 1 positive and 1 negative facing so they will never have polarity issues. Hope you guys enjoy.

This report studies a new algorithm for the regridding and transformation of Digital Terrain Elevation Matrices. The new algorithm uses sequential accesses to mass storage devices rather than the random methods used by the software system currently installed at the Defense Mapping Agency. Due to the simplicity of the new algorithm, minicomputers can be used in place of a larger mainframe computer. Four potential minicomputer systems are examined. Benchmark test results are given which show the...

In future conflicts, the United States Marine Corps will augment the capabilities of the individual Marine with autonomous vehicles able to traverse a wide range of terrain. The objective of this thesis is to investigate the ability of an autonomous ground vehicle to use two-dimensional (2D) down-looking Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) to avoid low-profile obstacles. The robot performs three primary tasks: localization, obstacle detection, and control. Optical flow sensors and a Global...

In rift zones, both the crust and the lithosphere get thinner. The amplitude and the mechanism of these two thinning situations are different. The lithospheric thinning is a thermal phenomenon produced by an asthenospherical uprising under the rift zone. In some regions its amplitude can exceed 200%. This is observed under the Baikal rift where the crust is directly underlaid by the mantellic asthenosphere. The presence of hot material under rift zones induces a large negative gravity anomaly....

This report presents solutions of the one- and two-dimensional integral equations that describe groundware propagation. Considered are the effects of: (1) terrain irregularities that are narrower than a Fresnel zone, and (2) receiver elevations. The results define the conditions under which the simpler one-dimensional equation can be used, as well as those that demand the more complicated two-dimensional form. A frequency of 100 kHz is assumed throughout, although certain results are easily...

LOS, tropo, diffraction, and satellite links all experience signal variations as a function of time and RF signal patch length, commonly referred to as fading. Fading occurs when microwave signals arrive simultaneously at a receiving antenna over more than one path and result from the fact that at certain times these signals will be out of phase, cancelling each other. Fading is caused by a combination of climatic and terrain factors; therefore, it is difficult to predict the frequency and...

Various ways of representing topography that is a part of a global spectral model have been examined using the notions of error-in-synthesis and error-in-reproduction in measuring accuracy and fidelity. The trapezoidal and Gauss-Legendre quadratures are employed in conjuction with different truncations in the numerical computation of the transformations. The results have led to the following conclusions: (1) The model terrain is best defined by the set of spectral coefficients in a truncation...

Fractal Geometry is a recent synthesis of old mathematical constructs. It was first popularized by complex renderings of terrain on a computer graphics medium. Fractal geometry has since spawned research in many diverse scientific disciplines. Its rapid acceptance has been achieved due to its ability to model phenomena that defy discrete computation due to roughness and discontinuities. With its quick acceptance has come problems.
