I working on a robot and needed come way to mount the motor controller. Luckily I have a 3d printer :) The motor controller is a Double BTS7960B (http://www.ebay.com/itm/162618525315). When the controller is mounted, access to the supply and motor wires are quite cumbersome, since the screws are facing downwards. Therefore I also created a stencil for a drill guide. Please note, I have not tried the stencil my self, but using it should create a hole similar to the one shown in the plate I used....

Estimation of motor inertia and friction components is a complex and challenging task in motion control applications where small size DC motors (<100W) are used for precise control. It is essential to estimate the accurate friction components and motor inertia, because the parameters provided by the manufacturer are not always accurate. This research proposes a Sensorless method of determining DC motor parameters, including moment of inertia, torque coefficient and frictional components...

Hi :) this pump I designed for my self-made cocktail machine to pump the non-alcoholics. The older version of my machine (check it out on [cocktailnator.de](https://cocktailnator.de)) used a compressor and a pressure system, with the peristaltic pump it is now way easier. So when you need to pump your liquids quick and don't wanna spend much money on a pump, this one will do the trick. With the right motor in place the pump moves 400ml / 20 sec. The pump is design for a high spin but finding...

This article estimates the unknown dc motor parameters by adapting the adaptive model with the reference model created by experimental data onto armature current and speed response from separately excited dc motor. The field flux dynamics, which is usually ignored, is included to model the dynamics of the motor. The block diagram including the flux dynamics and model parameters is considered as the adaptive model. The integral time square error between the instant experimental data and the...

Brushless DC (BLDC) motors are attaining higher priority in industrial automation, computers, aerospace, military, household appliance and traction applications because of its high efficiency, high power density and low maintenance cost. To control a BLDC machine, it is generally required to measure the speed and position of rotor by using the sensor. Using the measured value of rotor position, each inverter phase acting at precise time will be commutated. This paper presents a simple digital...

This research presents a very important industrial issue of controlling the production target, despite changing loads. Engines of various types, whether synchronous or synchronous, operate on single and three phase AC, DC motors or special motors such as stepper and servo. In all these motors, the speed control of the torque and speed of the above motors has gained considerable importance. There are three main ways reviewed in the current search, the second that completes the previous research...

Hello I've been making bowls on the lathe for a few years now and typically have issues with drips when dealing with polyurethane, epoxy, etc. Printed up this guy to hold the slow RPM DC motor. The Arduino board isn't necessary, I just used it to throw in a potentiometer which can control the rotation speed perfectly. Throw some hot glue at the end to make the bowl stick. Enjoy if you like to finish bowls too!

Abstract This paper presents comparison between full order and minimum order observer controller design using MATLAB environment. As a matter of fact, it has shown how to implement a dc motor state space model and its observer. Different observer gain(s) are determined by selecting different Eigen values for the observers. Both designed controllers are tested using root locus method by varying different observer poles. Having full understanding of the observer controller implementation(s),...

The idea for a ball bearing clock was inspired by the "Idle-Tyme Clock " and "Time Machine Clock". However unlike those designs which have a maze of tracks to deliver the balls back to the start mine has a couple of funnels and a spiral. Also unlike those designs where the motor timing is critical for accurate time and the accuracy will degrade as the motor wears, in my design the accuracy is not dependent on the motor speed (once a minute the motor is turned on and the...

The behavioral modeling of a separately excited direct current (DC) motor as a prime mover for a doubly-fed induction machine (DFIM) is studied in this thesis. The output torque of the DC motor is computed in the simulation under controlled parameters. The input to the DFIM, used as a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG), is taken from the DC motor. In theory, the combination of the two machines can be used to emulate various wind patterns and their expected electrical returns for a given...

Multilevel Inverters offers eminent solutions to high voltage high power applications due to the association of several devices in a series configuration. This is moderate because of getting superior quality voltage waveform when using multilevel inverters as compared to form two-level inverters. This paper presents a new Piecewise Affine Proportional-Integral (PA-PI) controller for angular velocity tracking of a buck converter generated DC motor. A Safe Experimentation Dynamics (SED) algorithm is employed as a data-driven optimization tool to find the optimal PA-PI controller parameters such that the integral square of error and input are reduced. The essential feature of the PA-PI controller is that the parameters of proportional and integral gains are adaptive to the error variations...
