After completing my over-the-top conceptual space prog-rock album Lion on the Beach (by the Electric Amygdala ), I wanted to write new material, but this time approach it in the exact opposite manner. I limited myself instrumentally to solo piano (which ended being augmented by strings on a few tracks) and deliberately tried to compose as simply as possible. I didn't overthink anything, or stop myself if the melodies seemed too cheesy, or if it seemed I was dangerously close to new-age Narada...

Storage Unit is pleased to welcome a new musical contributor by the name of Little Wanderer, aka another friend of mine, Stephanie Calderon. 'Meow EP' introduces Stephanie's unique style of blending field recordings, melodies and her own pleasant vocals together to create 4 completely diverse moods. Be sure to also take a look at the variety of images included with the release. Altogether, this is some very good new material for all to enjoy.

A slower, muchly stripped-down version of Peppina's "Beastly Beauty" Arranged for toy piano and voice. Intended for use as accompaniment to Russ Sharek's live performance. Video sample (featuring original track): youtu.be/JV3iWCa2gdI Lyrics: A long time ago, in a story so old There was a beauty and and a beast, or so I’ve been told They were these two strangers, two lonely souls But it’s not what you think, no, here’s how it goes: Lets start with the Beast, he was ugly and scary...
