When the effects of Hurricaine Sandy cleared a large area of trees in Veterans Park, Lake Metroparks staff turned it into an opportunity to educate visitors. They constructed a deer exclosure to demonstrate the effect these animals have on the park's flora. As vegetation begins to grow back this Spring, park visitors will be able to see what it could look like when the deer aren't able to eat unchecked.
